Last week we were delighted to release a never seen image of Founder William McBeath. So this week we are just as delighted to unveil a new image of Founder Peter Campbell.
We have only ever had one image of Peter and that was from the 1877 Cup Final photograph.
Although the picture bellow has correctly named Peter, John Allan’s ‘The Story of the Rangers’ confused things by mixing him up with Moses McNeil.
We can now finally confirm that Peter is in sitting to the left of fellow Founder Moses.
Peter was the youngest of our Gallant Pioneers to die. He died aged only twenty-five when his ship the “St Columba” floundered in the Bay of Biscay off the coast of France.
